1. What Baunti is
Baunti is a platform that lets sponsors (brands, creators, businesses, individuals) fund community challenges with escrowed prize pools, and lets entrants compete for those prizes. Baunti provides escrow, winner-selection tooling, and payout infrastructure. Baunti is notthe sponsor of any challenge: each challenge's sponsor is identified in its official rules, and the sponsor alone decides the challenge terms within our rules engine.
2. Accounts
You may use Baunti as a sponsor (with an account) or as an entrant (no account required). You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide. Winners must verify identity and payout details before prizes are released. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
3. Escrow and fees
Sponsor pools are collected by our payment providers and held for the duration of the challenge. The platform fee is shown before funding and is charged at funding time. Funds can move only to verified winners (after they claim and verify a payout destination) or back to the sponsor as a refund of the unclaimed pool. Baunti does not lend, invest, or otherwise use escrowed funds.
4. Challenge rules
Sponsors must run challenges through our rules engine: random-draw challenges must be free to enter; paid-entry challenges must be skill-based. Sponsors are responsible for their challenges complying with the laws of the jurisdictions they open them to. Challenges that reward engagement metrics (paid likes, follows, or reposts), that constitute gambling, or that infringe others' rights are prohibited and will be cancelled with a refund of the unclaimed pool.
5. Entrants and content
Entrants retain ownership of their content and grant the sponsor a license to use entries in connection with the challenge, as set out in each challenge's official rules. Fraudulent entries (bots, multi-accounting, purchased engagement, plagiarized content) are void. Winners who do not claim within the stated window (14 days by default) may forfeit their prize per the published re-draw or refund policy.
6. Payouts
Prizes are paid to winner-submitted destinations via our payment providers (bank transfer in Naira, or USDT on TRC-20/BEP-20). Payout destinations provided by winners are used solely to pay prizes. Crypto payouts are irreversible: winners are responsible for the accuracy of wallet addresses. Winners may be responsible for taxes on prizes.
7. Prohibited use
No illegal activity, money laundering, gambling, engagement manipulation, impersonation, or use of Baunti to run deceptions of any kind. We may freeze payouts pending review where fraud is suspected, and will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
8. Liability
Baunti is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the platform fees you paid in the three months preceding a claim. We are not liable for the content of challenges, the actions of sponsors or entrants, or losses arising from third-party payment providers or social platforms.
